The Celebration Theme – A child theme of Hybrid
A theme exploring layers, creation and joy.
I created this in a mood of artistic creativity after the birth of my son Nisarga. Initially, I was planning to use it on his site, but now, its not what I want there. It ‘fits better’ here, so it is the theme you see on this blog.
Celebration is a child theme of Hybrid and is mostly just about the CSS and a simple php script that rotates background images. With the said son very young, I don’t get much time, but the this is just the beginning. The theme is destined for some very fancy functionality.
Its a very layered and multidimensional kind of expression. Loads fast. XHTML Strict and CSS valid. If you validate this page, you may end up seeing an error or so, depending on whether I get around to ‘fixing’ the plugins responsible for them. Its not from the theme.
There are many things planned for this theme. Adding custom background functionality, adding more random beauty, Hybrid is already a SEO superstar, but I’m planning a few more features to really max it. Then I’ll be adding support to styling popular plugins, and finally…. further cleaning up the code.
Update – Just released version 0.1.2 // Fixed some unnecessary code, fiddled with colors and some minor other stuff. Looks better than the above screenshot now. Download this. Its better.
