Planning to make a film

For no reason in particular, I am in the mood to make an adventure related film. Right now, its monsoons, so I will probably take a month or two to plan it, and then I’m in the mood to simply plan a hike/trek/stay on a fort with all cast and crew and shoot the damn thing in one shot - probably in a week. Its a story that’s been itching in my mind, and if I don’t get it out on tape, its going to haunt me for a long time to come. Let’s see how it goes. There are loads of problems to getting this one done. One, money - heh isn’t that the bottom line with everyone? But seriously, its going to take some serious money to get cast and crew out in the open staying for 7 days or more - not to mention accommodation, catering and equipment. For a hobby film, I don’t know if I will be able to afford it. I’m trying, but I’m also trying to save up to buy my own home, so I don’t know if this is going to work out practical. After all, there is a very good chance that this film might not end up earning any of that money back.

I’ll spend the next couple of months thinking on it as well. I’ll work on the script schedule, budget…… make things as concrete and “known” as I can without actually going out and shooting it. This will give me an outlet to vent all that creative flood about this story, as well as see if that creativity endures or fizzles out when compared to the investment it needs. If nothing, it will still be a good script planned and ready with me to keep aside until I find someone to invest.
