Got this email from a so-called top designer and SEO consultant:
Do you want to have better traffic and a nicer looking site? Our research shows that your traffic could be doubled if you have a better design and optimize your content. New sites are added to google everyday, and soon yours is going to be invisible….. blah, blah, blah and voice of doom unless I purchase their services.
Guess what? This guy found me on Google. So I seem to be getting found just fine. as for design and SEO… I followed through to his site and found a bloated code tables design (I thought no one except dinosaurs had those), invalid code and keyword stuffed tags. No thanks! I’ll stick to my “Bad SEO”.
Plus, if he read my site at all, he should have realized that calling this design the doom of this site is not the best way of endearing him to me, since I have done this design myself.
Please refund our money
I post I have about the Bajaj Highland Holidays gets a lot of attention, often from people who have invested money with them. Naturally, many of these people are very angry and worried for their money. However, I was surprised to get the following:
I know you are all on one side and you know these cheaters at HHH very well. You will get commissions from all the sales you bring to them. I have been cheated by them and I will go to the consumer court if you don’t return my money immediately. I have invested Rs.80,000/- with them and can’t get a place to stay anywhere. Their hotels are always full. You ***** (and then it degraded to pure unadulterated abuse and I had to delete it since this is a family friendly site)
Huh? The post I wrote was a criticism of HHH where I questioned their authenticity as an investment. Why would I do that if I was “on their side”? I should refund this poor man’s money? I wish I had that much. I just feel so sad when I imagine this man sitting there surfing the net searching for information about this investment and finding this site. What a rude shock. It is sad that many people find this site just after investing rather than investigate before investing.
